CHRIS MORRIS AND BEYOND DOCUMENTARY SYNOPSIS

My Documentary will document and follow a Guitar Busker called Chris Morris over a period of months. The structure will include documenting him, busking in a variety of public places in London to witness a contrast of public reactions to him busking to see which members of public like or dislike his music. I will document him busking, in particular places in London which are well known such places will include Covent Garden, touristic streets, St Pauls Cathedral and other symbolic places.

I want to investigate why he busks, how he got into busking, how he became interested in rock music, finding out his influences, how he has ended up as a busker and his future prospects. I also want to find out why he hasn't made yet in his life as a famous guitarist, as he is now thirty years old and I feel his guitar play is sensational on the streets and in gigs.

The themes of the documentary will be looking at busking, music on the streets, live performance, the busking London atmosphere and everyday public reactions to busking.

The documentary will also examine the notion that the public misinterpret buskers, when they see them performing  their acts and don't always appreciate their musical talents .In other words as a fact the general public for example in the London Undergrounds, spot a busker playing their acts, listen briefly and then carry on with their everyday life's. Instead of stopping for a moment, experiencing and absorbing their talent productively. Which is rarely seen unless the busker, has a specific talent or image that is captivating to draw attention to the public to appreciate their unique attraction.

The documentary will reveal, that the London atmosphere has an important aspect on Chris Morris performing his public performances.  It will represent the importance of the busker, the passing public reactions and the city.

The intended audiences for my documentary are busker beginners, rock music fans, contemporary buskers, and buskers who want to get into the music industry.  The documentary will be observational and interactive to the audience from observing busking and my interaction with Chris Morris throughout.

For production methods, I will film various sequences of Chris Morris busking to get different public reactions to his guitar playing on the streets.  I will film lots of footage of London on the streets and general public doing their day to day life's, to emphasise how the London atmosphere has an important factor on the busker performing in public.
