Mid June to Late September 2011
I did Secondary Research into Prison Life and Prison Ministry towards my Documentary on Prison Ministry. I also watched documentaries with the themes considering Prison Life for example Louis: Behind Bars.
Sunday 25th September 2011
I focused on starting my Documentary on Prison Ministry. I met up with the Christchurch, Winchester vicar called David Williams. I told about my documentary idea and he thought it would be very interesting topic to document.
Thursday 29th September 2011
I went back to the Christchurch reception and I met a church member called Yvonne Seca. She passed on my documentary idea and she took my contact details. That same day I sent an email to Peter Russell who is a Christchurch member, asking him if he knew any contacts who do prison ministry at the prison in Winchester.

I got an email from Peter Russell, he gave me some prison minister contacts who were called Graham Topping and Peter Winfield.

I met up with David Williams. He gave me Peter Winfield’s mobile number so I could contact him straight away.
Wednesday 5th October 2011
I rang up Peter Winfield. I pitched my Documentary on Prison Ministry to him. I told him it was Documentary going towards my degree. I asked him If I could do the documentary with him as he’s a Prison Minister. He rejected the idea straight away, as I am not a Christchurch staff member and I am not a qualified prison minister. He told me that several journalists have failed to get into the prison currently this year. Though he ended the conversion on a good note by saying that he will keep in touch with me and he wished all the best finding another documentary idea towards my degree.

I informed Karin Stowe about my Prison Ministry being rejected by Peter Winfield and I explained to him the reasons why. I told him I was planning on doing a documentary on Mormonism in the UK.
He said it was interesting topic to document. He also advised me look into 2012 Doomsday cult were I could find a cult and go on a journey with them before the end of the world being 21.12.2012.

Tuesday 11th October 2011
I had a tutorial with Mark Hawker. We talked about the plan to do a documentary on Mormonism. He then advised to take on Karin Stowe’s idea on finding a 2012 Doomsday cult and going on a journey with before the world ends on 21.12.2012. That day I began to do secondary research into 2012 Doomsday Cults.

I did secondary research into the Long Count Mayan Calendar, Mayan Prophecies, Mayan Civilisation, 2012 Doomsday Cult around the world and I watched various documentaries on Mayan Prophecies and on 2012 conspiracies.

I had a tutorial with Mark Hawker. I told him that I had researched into the theory of the Long Count Mayan Calendar, Mayan Prophecies, Mayan Mythology and Scientology. I also mentioned to him that I had researched into 2012 Doomsday Cults worldwide and that I had watched documentaries on Mayan Prophecies and 2012 conspiracies .He advised me to research into a village called Bugarach in Southern France. As Doomsday cults in July 2011 believe it is the only place in the world to survive the end of the world on 21.12.2012.

I researched into scientists and theorists views on 2012 conspiracies. I found a contact called Philip Coppens. He is a journalist/ author who covers studies into world politics, ancient history and conspiracies. He has written a book called 2012 Science or Fiction? I found his contact on Twitter. I also researched into the French village, Bugarach in Southern France to find out why they believe it is the only place to survive 21.12.2012. I found an article written about Bugarach by the BBC on 8th July 2011 by Chris Bockman. I found another article written on this village, Bugarach written by Marilyn Z Tomlins.

I abandoned the Documentary on 2012 Doomsday Cults. As I met a Busker Guitarist called Chris Morris in the Waterloo Underground. He amazed me straight away by his talented guitar playing and by his personality. I then gave him email address for him to send some links to his music. I then later emailed him asking him if I could do a documentary on him. He got back to me straight away mentioning that he was delighted to it.

I went to London to do Primary Research on Buskers in tube stations and in public places. I filmed a Beatboxer in Piccadilly Circus as I thought he was really talented.
Monday 31st October 2011
I read books which looked into busking and rock culture. I found an article on Chris Morris’s Facebook page written by a journalist called Sam Osa. He mentioned about busking in London and Chris Morris being well known for guitar playing in the undergrounds.

I had a tutorial with Mark Hawker. I mentioned to him that I was possibly meeting up Chris Morris that week.
Friday 4th November 2011
I met up Chris Morris at a Gig in Stoke Newington at a pub called The Drop. We had a chat about how he could approach the documentary as there are some angles we can cover. Examples like documenting Chris Morris busking in a variety of public places in London to get different public reactions to his busking. We discussed at looking at areas like how he got into busking, rock music, looking back at his past as a guitarist and how he has at reached this position in his life as busker. I then filmed him at his gig.

I watched Bob Dylan: Don’t Look Back, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster and Dig! For inspiration and influences towards my documentary on Chris Morris. I also wrote about why these documentaries are important to me, why they influence and inspire me and I reviewed them.

I did a Rough Draft of my Chris Morris Documentary Pitch. To show Mark Hawker, for him to go through it with me to make changes and add ideas to it for my Pitch on 22nd November 2011.
